MARIO×ELDEN RINGSONIC×GTA 5
Since late September 2026, clips of one game "merged" into another have been all over X, TikTok and Reddit. Know Your Meme calls the trend AI video game merging, and most people search for it as AI game mashups: modders use AI coding tools to reverse-engineer two games until they can run together. Some of the clips you've seen are real mods you can play today. Others are private builds or demo footage with no public release.
Below is where each viral mashup actually stands, and where to get the real ones from their creators.

Melty: The One-Click Mashup Launcher
Many of the clips going around come from Melty, a free Windows launcher at melty.gg. You pick a mashup and press Play, and Melty installs what it needs and starts the game. Creators make new mashups by giving Melty's instructions to an AI coding agent. Mashups run on games you already own, so you need to own both games.
Mashups listed on Melty as of October 16, 2026: SkyCraft (Skyrim SE × Minecraft), Super Mario Ring (Super Mario 64 × Elden Ring), Skate Warfare (Skate 3 × CoD: MW2), Portal Life (Portal × Half-Life 2), Elden Craft (Minecraft × Elden Ring) and Spartan Warfare (Halo MCC × CoD: MW2).
Read before installing
Its terms let it download tools, change game folders, copy game files, run programs and update itself automatically.
Its privacy policy says it records launcher-window activity for some users, and multiplayer hosts' IP addresses are shared with players who join.
One user has claimed an installer version bundled a gameplay-recording component. This is unverified, and Dexerto has asked Melty about it.
Its terms exclude liability for lost saves and account bans. Never use it on accounts you care about in online games.
Only download Melty from melty.gg. Copies on torrent or "free download" sites are not the real thing.

Mario Elden Ring mod · Super Mario 64 × Elden Ring
ER-Mario by deltarooo replaces your Tarnished with Super Mario 64's Mario, with triple jumps, wall kicks, ground pounds, coins, SM64's health meter and the Lakitu camera.
Needs Elden Ring on Steam and the me3 mod loader
Needs your own US Super Mario 64 ROM (not included)
Offline only. The creator says never to play it online
Early and buggy, so expect clipping and odd cutscenes

Sonic the Hedgehog – Ultimate Speed & Combat Mod by GuileHunterX (released September 13, 2026) adds Spin Dash, Homing Attack, Light Speed, wall-running and a Race Mode against AI Sonic rivals. It's the closest match to the "Sonic Adventure in GTA V" clips.
Needs Script Hook V, ScriptHookVDotNet Enhanced and OpenIV
Sonic and Metal Sonic models are separate downloads
Melty now lists a Minecraft × Elden Ring mashup called Elden Craft. Modder Tobyn Jacobs' separate build, with Minecraft blocks, redstone and Creative Mode inside Elden Ring, was still private as of early October.
Needs both Minecraft and Elden Ring
Not the same as the "Elden Craft" Minecraft modpack, which adds Elden Ring-style items to Minecraft itself
There's no official crossover, but Frontlines by MAXIMILLIAN is a fan-made Roblox shooter built to look and play like modern Call of Duty. Arsenal and Phantom Forces are other popular CoD-style Roblox shooters.

How to Spot a Fake Mashup Download
No creator page
Real mashup mods live on the creator's GitHub, Nexus Mods or gta5-mods.com page. If you can't trace it to the creator, skip it.
Torrents of private builds
If the creator says there's no release, a torrent with that name is fake, and often malware.
Standalone .exe "full game"
Mashups are mods for games you already own. A single installer claiming to be the whole mashup is a red flag.
Real mods never ask for surveys, phone numbers or logins before you can download.
Asks to disable antivirus
Some mod loaders get false positives, but "turn off your antivirus first" from an unknown site is a warning sign.
Screenshot "tweets"
Graphics showing a "Steam" or studio tweet about a mashup tool can be edited. Check the real account before believing it.
Re-uploaded launchers
Tools like Melty only come from their official site. A "cracked" or mirrored copy is a red flag.
Watermarked clips
Meme pages repost clips without credit. Find the original creator before you look for a download.

Is Melty safe?
Melty is a free Windows launcher for AI-built game mashups. There is no confirmed malware report, but it has real trade-offs: its terms let it change game folders, copy game files and update itself; its privacy policy says it records launcher-window activity for some users; and a claim that one installer bundled a recording component is still unverified. If you try it, download it only from melty.gg, scan the installer, back up your saves and keep it away from online accounts you care about.
What is the Call of Duty Roblox game called?
The best-known one is Frontlines by MAXIMILLIAN, a free fan-made Roblox shooter that plays like modern Call of Duty. Arsenal and Phantom Forces are other popular CoD-style Roblox games. None are official Activision games.
